AT THE WATER’S EDGE:

LIVING LIFE AND LEARNING ALL I CAN ALONG THE WAY

Journey with Me

Hi there! My name is Dana. I created this space as a place to share the things I learn along this journey I call life. I am a Jesus follower, wife, twin mom and dog mom. I work in marketing/sales analytics and I’m a sort of Jane of All Trades, interested in all things nature, gardening, cooking, crafting, traveling, exploring and learning new things. This blog is a conglomeration of my interests, hobbies, life and life lessons. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Bruschetta Pasta

When you find flavors that mesh, they deserve to be incorporated into multiple dishes. Bruschetta is one of those flavors. One of my favorite things to make with garden fresh tomatoes is bruschetta — that delicious combination of tomatoes, thinly sliced onions, fresh basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Put it atop a slice of

However, since Rheumatoid Disease struck, I’ve been relegated to flat, “comfortable shoes” — and the struggle to find such shoes that are also stylish. When I had the opportunity to

  • It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way. (Proverbs 19:2) Have you ever been so excited about something that you charged ahead full force without fully considering your actions? It’s easy to do when it’s something you are passionate about, or even if you’re just in

  • The purposes of a man’s heart are deep waters, but a man of understanding draws them out. (Proverbs 20:5) This is a verse that I’ve been pondering on for some time now, as I think it gets at the heart of a skill I’ve been trying to obtain: the art of asking good questions. If
